Hello, my name is Melany! I am a current junior in high school and I am planning to pursue a career in engineering after graduating. Being a part of Code Next has allowed me to expand my knowledge in coding and develop a new passion (i.e., programming). Aside from coding, I am the president of two community service clubs at my school. As I continue my journey in programming, I hope to inspire the next generation of Latinas in STEM to chase their dreams.

Code Next Project
This project is a song I made on EarSketch through the Python coding language. I made this song as part of my final project for the Google Code Next BreakBeatCode session. The song was inspired by my love for the beach. The drums in the song radiate a joyful summery feeling; thus, why I chose the aforementioned instrumental clips.
